All About Me

Hi!

I am on a mission to make my world a better place for my kids. I want to know they have something to look forward to other than ill-health and environmental disaster clean-up. I say 'my world' because I want to take responsibility for my end of this rock...hopefully, as more and more do the same, we'll look up one day and realize we have an awesome planet to enjoy.

At home, I can proudly say we're an all-organic, gluten-free, dairy-free, mostly vegan family. I have spent hours upon hours looking for and trying out all sorts of recipes that'll please every member of this household. (DH likes to refer to himself as a  flexitarian...so yeah, basically, he'll eat anything even though he shouldn't). In all of my recipes, I only use organic products, but I will not write it down every time.

Eating healthy should be more than smoothies and salads. Lip balm should not carry a list of ingredients resembling a grade 11 science experiment. Baking pans shouldn't come with a warning to 'keep young children and small animals out of the kitchen while using them'...(I only wish I was joking about this one). You get the idea.

As for school work, whether you homeschool or not, it should be FUN. Kids should come away feeling excited to have learned something new, to have discovered something that will fuel their desire to learn even more. And from experience, want to go on, even after you've told them you had to stop to make supper.

So, here, amidst these pages, you get to share in our little adventures.

By the way, this is me...I was sewing, on a live call for a year-long course I just started while overseeing my daughter's homework. Yeah, I can multi-task. Two hours later, I was in uniform and at work. What can I say, I like to keep busy, lol. Oh, and when I'm not doing all these things, I'm writing.
